Huachang Chemical H1 2026 results: revenue RMB 4.016 billion (+24.85%), net profit RMB 123 million (+1,026.9%). Integrated coal-chemical fertiliser producer advances product-mix optimisation and new materials.

Shanghai, September 2026 — Jiangsu Huachang Chemical Co., Ltd. (Huachang Chemical) announced its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, reporting operating revenue of RMB 4.016 billion, an increase of 24.85% year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 123 million, up 1,026.9% from the same period in 2025, with basic earnings per share of RMB 0.1293.

Within its coal-chemical and fertiliser value chain, the company continued to optimise its synthetic ammonia and fertiliser product mix, upgrade existing production facilities and increase research and development investment. At the same time, Huachang is expanding into advanced materials, utilising feedstocks such as synthesis gas and propylene to produce polyols and other higher-value products. The company is also advancing hydrogen-energy demonstration applications as part of its broader effort to develop new growth drivers and align its portfolio with lower-carbon production pathways.

The results highlight a wider trend among China' s chemical and fertiliser producers: a shift beyond traditional volume-driven growth toward product-mix optimisation, higher-value downstream materials, technology upgrades and new-energy applications. For the fertiliser industry, the evolution of integrated coal-chemical companies such as Huachang offers a useful reference point for how traditional fertiliser businesses are adapting to a changing industrial landscape.
