Two Leading Fertilizer Enterprises Speak Internationally, Demonstrating China's Hardcore Fertilizer Strength

Recently, leading Chinese fertilizer enterprises have successively appeared on international official platforms such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA) annual conferences, presenting to the world the impressive achievements of China's fertilizer industry in green manufacturing and cutting-edge agricultural technology, fully demonstrating the hardcore strength of China's fertilizer industry.

Both enterprises have signed booth contracts for the 2027 FSHOW International Fertilizer Exhibition, and will showcase their global layout achievements and innovative products on-site in Shanghai.

I. Xinlianxin wins IFA's highest global sustainability certification, Chinese fertilizer enterprises gain world-class recognition

On June 30, the 2026 International Fertilizer Association (IFA) Annual Global Conference was held in Monaco. The conference presented the ISC Industry Stewardship Champion award, a highly prestigious accolade in the global fertilizer industry. Xinlianxin Group was successfully selected, becoming one of the few fertilizer companies globally to receive this certification (previously, only international leaders such as Yara of Norway and BASF of Germany had received this certification).

This award is IFA's highest certification for measuring a company's sustainable production management capabilities, with assessment covering four rigorous dimensions: production control, environmental governance, energy efficiency, and carbon emissions. Zheng Nan, General Manager of Xinlianxin International Trade, took the stage to receive the award. IFA Director-General Alzbeta Klein personally presented the award, highly recognizing the company's full-chain green and low-carbon operational achievements.

This award marks Xinlianxin's energy conservation, carbon reduction, and full-process environmental management reaching world-class levels, significantly enhancing the global credibility of Chinese nitrogen fertilizer brands. Xinlianxin stated that it will continue to deeply cultivate green efficiency-enhancing fertilizers, relying on the dual-drive model of “quality products + professional agricultural technology services” to continuously export China's sustainable development experience in the chemical fertilizer industry to the world.

II. Kingenta Appears at FAO Rome Headquarters, Exporting China's Slow/Controlled Release Fertilizer Solutions

On July 1, the FAO Global Smart Agriculture Conference opened at the FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy. Li Yuxiao, Chairman of Kingenta Group, as the only representative of a Chinese agricultural input enterprise at this conference, delivered a keynote speech, sharing with agricultural officials and soil experts from multiple countries China's independent complete set of bio-based slow/controlled release fertilizer technology and its overseas practice.

Over the years, Kingenta has achieved the leap from “going out” to “going in”: it built the first Chinese slow/controlled release fertilizer model factory in Europe in the Netherlands, completing the export of complete technology to the high-end market; it established 200 tropical crop demonstration fields in Indonesia, solving the local problem of cumbersome topdressing; in Lesotho, AfricaImplement the “One Country, One Product” potato industry upgrade project.

The enterprise's self-developed straw-based bio-coating technology abandons expensive petrochemical raw materials, significantly reducing fertilizer costs and making slow/controlled release fertilizer an affordable and inclusive agricultural input for smallholder farmers in developing countries. Its “technology licensing + local production + agricultural technology services” trinity model has been recognized by the FAO as an innovative paradigm for South-South agricultural technology transfer.

At the conference, Li Yuxiao outlined a standardized promotion pathway suitable for smallholder farmers worldwide, and reached new cooperation intentions with multiple countries and international organizations, planning to replicate the mature model in more “Belt and Road” partner countries, leveraging Chinese agricultural technology to support global food security and green agriculture transformation.
